Sleepy Hollow (1999)
This is director Tim Burton's film [Sleepy Hollow (1999)], a director with a distinct style who doesn't shy away from any genre, from horror films (Beetlejuice) to superhero movies (Batman). The movie begins when a New York detective, who believes in scientific investigation, is assigned to solve a cold case and travels to the village of Sleepy Hollow. In the village, headless bodies are found in succession, and while the villagers blame the curse of the 'Headless Horseman,' the protagonist, while trying to solve it with scientific investigation and logic, witnesses the Headless Horseman himself and struggles to uncover the truth of the case. It can be described as a mystery + horror + thriller genre. Overall, just by the director's name, it's a movie that doesn't feel like a waste of time. Plus, it's a movie where you can catch a glimpse of a young Johnny Depp (?). Haha.

This is one of the few movies where Johnny Depp doesn't wear weird makeup.

Tim Burton's movies really have a unique atmosphere, lol. A horror thriller with the headless horseman? Just the synopsis gives me chills, it sounds super exciting! Johnny Depp in his prime, investigating cold cases with forensic science, looks so handsome too, I really want to see it ๐ After my exams finish this weekend, I'll have to binge-watch it with my friends over popcorn. I'm totally looking forward to it~!!

This is a movie I saw when I was 20~~ I'm in my late 40s now.. lol Still a memorable movie~~ The story of the headless horseman, used by human revenge, in the process of the protagonist Ichabod? breaking the curse of the headless horseman.. Not exactly vivid anymore, but Johnny Depp comes to mind just seeing the poster~~ A fun movie with fantasy elements~~ And Sleepy Hollow is an actual town about 40km north of Manhattan, New York.
