Random thought, but has anyone else felt this way?
A fly kept buzzing around my face, so I raised my hand to swat it. Then I suddenly thought, 'Maybe it's a happy guy from a normal family in fly society, just like me?' Moreover, this ecosystem, though it needs sacrifice to function smoothly, should I kill a precious life just because it's annoying? I thought about it... Actually, I often have these thoughts, and I remember leaving mosquitoes alone and getting bitten like crazy because of it....

That's very philosophical. But I sometimes think about that too. When a creature (like a mosquito, ant, or fly) that ventured far out to find food can't return to its colony, do the other creatures in the colony guess that the one who went on the long journey has died? Do they feel sadness? Or do they not even have that kind of awareness? I ponder things like that.
