Motorcycle Major Service
The motorcycle luggage rack I ordered a few days ago arrived. Decided to get a major service done while I was at it. Ended up spending almost 12,000 yen. It's necessary though (mileage is almost 110,000 km). Still hurts my wallet though QAQ

Convenience is not a free pass, and consideration is not a given
Today at the office, I couldn't help but play the 'angry old man' role. There are some younger colleagues who have recently entered the workforce. They're smart, but sometimes they lack a sense of boundaries. A while ago, I noticed he was having a lot of trouble, so out of consideration, I gave him some flexibility and support, hoping he could adjust slowly. As time went on, this young man gradually started to take this 'special care' as his 'rightful due,' even beginning to cut corners on basic rules. Today, during a break, I called him over and gave him a 'wake-up call, uncle-style.' I told him: 'When I give you convenience and make things easy for you, it's because I want you to feel goodwill and do your job better; it's not for you to take advantage of it or think that everyone owes you something.' 'Tough love' from middle-aged people isn't about coddling kids to keep them happy; it's about stepping in at critical moments to guide them back on track. Gentleness can be given, but boundaries must be strict. The workplace is brutal. If I don't remind you today, the fall you take when you encounter a supervisor or client who isn't as understanding will only hurt more. After the talk, seeing his expression of dawning realization mixed with a bit of embarrassment, I knew he had taken my words to heart. Stopping at the right point, I turned back to my reports. As a supervisor, sometimes playing the bad guy and giving someone a reality check is just a middle-aged uncle's way of showing some care for these young folks!

An Uncle's Cool Morning Thoughts: Is Winter Coming, or Is a Typhoon Brewing?
As soon as I woke up this morning and went to open the window, the sky outside was several shades darker than usual, and the wind that hit my face carried a solid chill. I couldn't help but shiver, tucking my neck in, and muttered to myself, 'Is the weather really about to officially turn to winter, or is some typhoon stirring up trouble far away?' At this age, you become particularly sensitive to changes in the weather. When I was young, a cold snap just meant I could wear a cool, thick jacket. Now, when that chill blows by, the first thoughts are—'Uh oh, should I dig out my heavy coat for going out today?' 'Did I dry the thick duvet at home? Will I wake up cold tonight?' Looking up at the gloomy sky, a hazy gray expanse, I couldn't tell if it was storm clouds or morning mist. If a typhoon is coming, it means wading through wind and rain, with soggy shoes on my commute. But if winter is finally arriving, it feels like another chunk of the year has already slipped away, pushed forward by time. That's how it is with an uncle's years. When the weather darkens and the wind cools, the mind gets cluttered. Whether it rains or the temperature drops later, life goes on. Before heading out, I should probably grab an extra layer and a sturdy umbrella—that's the experience and thorough preparation of a middle-aged uncle, not fear of the cold!

Repairing the Black-Faced Uncle
This afternoon, I was getting ready to print some cross-departmental meeting materials when the copier suddenly let out a wail and displayed a 'Paper Jam, Please Resolve' error. Seeing the several younger colleagues waiting behind me, my confidence just exploded. I shook my head and stepped forward, saying, "Don't panic, everyone! This kind of minor issue is no problem for me, who knows all the major copier brands inside out!" I skillfully gave instructions: "Min-ji, open the side cover! Ji-hoon, get some tissues ready!" Then, I expertly opened the main unit cover and pulled out the toner cartridge, intending to showcase my '10-second paper jam elimination' technique. But I must have used a bit too much force, or maybe I hit some wrong switch— "*BANG!!!*" A rich black toner instantly erupted like a mini volcanic explosion, spraying evenly all over my face, glasses, and shirt. Even my hair was instantly dyed 'deepest, darkest black'! The air in the copier room froze, and a colleague from the next cubicle gasped. With a face as black as Bao Zheng, I looked at everyone through my toner-dusted glasses, wiped my face, and awkwardly cleared my throat: "Ahem... well... this, this is actually a new type of volcanic mud mask for acne treatment... the effects are quite noticeable..." 💡 Today's realization: If you don't have the skills for it in the workplace, never take on a copier repair job. 💥 Breakdown Level: ★★★★★ 🌋 Eruption Level: ★★★★★ ❓ Would attending the cross-departmental meeting with a Bao Zheng-esque face increase my persuasiveness?

Finally Solved the Office Toilet Wormhole Mystery~~
For the longest time, I, an old uncle, firmly believed that a 'mysterious wormhole,' inexplicable even to Einstein, was hidden in the office restroom—any lip balm, paper towel, or even a spare key, once dropped on the floor, would magically vanish into thin air. This afternoon, I went to the restroom and, as I pulled out my pack of cooling gum, my hand slipped, and with a 'clack!', it fell to the floor. I immediately got down on my hands and knees for a carpet search, from the gap under the door, behind the toilet, to under the sink. I searched until I was drenched in sweat and out of breath, even resorting to turning my phone's flashlight to its brightest setting. Just as I was about to give up and marvel, 'The wormhole is real,' a colleague who had just come out of the next stall looked at me, an old uncle squatting on the floor, with a complicated expression and pointed to my feet: "...Uncle, the gum has been stuck in your pant cuff crease for five minutes." At that moment, under the beam of my phone's flashlight, I silently retrieved the gum from my pant leg. What mystery of the century, what cosmic wormhole—it turned out to be my own embarrassing black hole... 💡 Today's realization: There are no wormholes in the universe, only the clumsy nerves of middle-aged uncles. 💥 Breakdown Level: ★★★★★ 🕳️ Wormhole Discovery Level: ★☆☆☆☆ ❓ When you spend five minutes on a carpet search in a public restroom for an item stuck in your pant cuff, how many grams of social dignity are left?

Leak Detected
After washing my car at the gas station, I left it parked for a while. When I went to drive it, I noticed a puddle of water on the ground. The color looked a bit off, and I wasn't sure if I should start the engine. I decided to risk it and started it up anyway, otherwise, I'd be waiting for my kids after school until dark. Thankfully, a check later revealed no major issues. It might have been dirt washed off the car body during the wash. Now I'm wondering how to clean up the mess on the ground.

Thankfully, my beloved chicken leg was unharmed
After a grueling morning of KPIs and meetings, I dragged my weary self to the bento shop during lunch to join the queue. I ordered my favorite fried chicken leg bento, and when I received it, the lid wouldn't even close because the fried chicken leg was so huge! As I marveled at the owner's generosity and happily walked out of the shop with my bento, I was so elated and light-footed that I accidentally stumbled on the roadside steps— "Ahhh—!" I executed a dramatic 360-degree mid-air maneuver to protect my meal, and ended up crashing hard onto the ground. Yet, my bento remained perfectly level in my hands, not a single grain of rice spilled! The customers at the next table were stunned, and the owner rushed out from the kitchen to check: "Sir! Are you okay? Is the bento alright?" Sitting on the ground, enduring the pain all over my body, I held back tears, raised the bento high, and managed an awkward yet resilient smile: "I'm fine... the chicken leg is still here... this is today's greatest fortune..." 💡 Today's realization: A middle-aged man's pride can be broken, but his delicious chicken leg must never hit the ground. 💥 Fall rating: ★★★★☆ 🍗 Chicken leg defense rating: ★★★★★ ❓ Can this kind of 'human-body-protects-bento' stunt be considered an extreme sport for office workers?

Can I use LINE Pay on the bus?
Monday morning's nightmare of catching the bus. My mind was still wandering in another dimension, my soul hadn't even booted up yet. I rushed onto the bus, and under the gaze of all the commuters, I casually pulled out my EasyCard and tapped it on the reader—— 💥 "Beep beep beep! Insufficient balance!" 💥 In that moment, the world seemed to stand still. My mind went blank, and I fumbled through my wallet, only to find I didn't even have a single coin on me! Cold sweat poured down like a waterfall, and I was so ashamed I couldn't even look up. Seeing the driver's indifferent expression and the line of people behind me, I blushed and made a last-ditch effort, pleading with the driver: "D-driver, I'm so sorry... Is it possible to use LINE Pay on the bus?" 💡 Today's realization: What's bluer than Monday Blue are a card with insufficient balance and the relentless stares of the people behind you. 🔥 Embarrassment level: ★★★★★ ❓ When you want to use LINE Pay on the bus, what exactly is going on in your head?

OMG~ What is happening right now!!
This morning, we had an online cross-departmental quarterly meeting for the entire company. I was nervously switching screens, reporting this quarter's KPIs to the heads of each department. Just as I was enthusiastically saying, 'This quarter's business growth rate is...', a 'ding dong' sound came from the instant messaging software in the bottom right corner of my computer, and a message preview from my wife popped up: 'Honey, the hair growth serum and ginger shampoo you ordered online have arrived at the reception office, don't forget to pick them up!' In that instant, it felt like the video feed in the conference room froze. Over fifty cross-departmental colleagues and senior executives saw it clearly on the big screen. My mind went blank, I froze completely, and cold sweat poured down my face. The department head next to me kindly reminded me, 'Uh... dude, your notification popped up.' With trembling hands, I closed the window and said into the microphone with a deathly pale face, 'Reporting, sir... Th-this is a company-sponsored scalp health maintenance project...' 💡 Today's realization: More terrifying than a presentation error is the public broadcast of a midlife crisis. 💥 Breakdown Index: ★★★★★ ✨ Hairline Defense Index: ★★☆☆☆ ❓ Is it too late to apply for a transfer to a deserted island right now?
