《Life Borrowing at Birth》 16

Chapter Sixteen: The Blind Taoist's End The blind Taoist lay dying in the courtyard outside the dungeon. He tried to crawl towards the gate to escape, but his legs had already been blown off by the recent explosion. As A'mu emerged from the sea of flames, despair filled the blind Taoist's eyes. He trembled, raising the black wooden staff in his hand, attempting a final resistance: "You... What kind of monster are you? The Life Borrowing at Birth technique is an ancient secret art, it shouldn't be broken like this!" A'mu stopped and looked at him coldly, "Life Borrowing at Birth is indeed a secret art, but you miscalculated one thing. You thought A'mu was just an ordinary orphan, but you didn't know that the moment he was born coincided with the most yin hour of the Hundred Ghosts Night Parade. You weren't borrowing a mortal's life, but the life of a hellish evil spirit!" Upon hearing this, the blind Taoist was struck as if by lightning. He finally understood that he had made a fatal mistake from the very beginning. He had borrowed a life for the Shen family, but what he borrowed was a completely awakened, peerless malevolent fiend! A'mu lifted his foot and brutally crushed the black wooden staff in the Taoist's hand, then directed the surrounding ethereal blue flames towards the blind Taoist... To be continued...

《Borrowed Life》 15

Chapter Fifteen: Bloodbath at the Shen Manor Witnessing his son turn into mere bones before his eyes, Old Master Shen completely lost his mind. Screaming, he grabbed a short knife and lunged at A'Mu, "I'll fight you to the death!" A'Mu didn't even glance at him. With a slight flick of his sleeve, Old Master Shen was sent crashing heavily against the stone wall, his bones shattering. A'Mu walked up to him, looking down at the utterly sinful old man, his eyes devoid of any pity. "A borrowed life must eventually be repaid. Every life the Shen family owes will be settled tonight." A'Mu turned and walked out of the secret chamber, Old Master Shen's final wail echoing behind him. Simultaneously, a raging fire erupted within the Shen family mansion. This was no ordinary flame, but an eerie blue hellfire ignited by intense malevolent energy. The fire spread rapidly, engulfing the entire Shen manor. The Shen family retainers and accomplices who had participated in the torture of the black cat and the murder of innocent villagers turned to ashes in this blaze, without exception. The residents of Blackwater Town watched the Shen manor, surrounded by blue flames, from afar, their doors and windows tightly shut in fear, not daring to make a sound. To be continued in the next episode……

Tagging Along 3

"Hoo... Thanks, little sis. Where are your parents?" Ajie panted, lowering his camera and habitually aiming it at the little girl's back to snap a photo. Just then, the little girl slowly turned around. When he got a clear look at her face through the camera's viewfinder, Ajie's breath caught – it wasn't a little girl's face at all! Above the bright red clothes sat the face of an extremely old woman, withered and wrinkled, with a deathly pale complexion! Her eye sockets were pitch-black voids, her mouth stretched into a grotesque grin revealing a row of blackened, sharp teeth, and she let out a shrill, distorted cackle.

Tagging In 2

Just as he was gradually falling into panic, a small figure vaguely appeared in the dense fog ahead. Ajie's heart leaped, thinking he had encountered other hikers. He quickened his pace to catch up, only to find it was a little girl in a bright red child's outfit. The girl, with her hair in twin ponytails, was hopping and skipping rapidly ahead. "Little girl! Wait up! Are you lost?" Ajie shouted from behind. The girl didn't answer, nor did she look back, just continued walking forward. Strangely, despite this being a rugged, thorny, steep mountain path, the girl walked incredibly smoothly. Her red clothes were spotlessly clean, not even a speck of mud on them. Ajie could only grit his teeth and follow her. After walking for an unknown amount of time, the fog before them suddenly cleared, and the girl stopped in front of an abandoned mountain shrine.

The Switch

Ah-Jie was an outdoor photographer who loved hiking. That year, he ventured deep into an undeveloped primeval forest alone, carrying heavy photography equipment, to capture the mysterious scenery of the deep mountains in Taiwan's Central Mountain Range. That afternoon, a sudden, unpredicted heavy fog rolled into the mountains. The thick, white mist, as if alive, instantly engulfed the entire forest. Ah-Jie soon realized he was lost. No matter how he checked his compass and GPS, the surrounding trees all looked the same. This is what the mountain folk call 'ghosts leading you astray'.

Blood Writing on the Wall 2

The killer glanced around, then turned and left the room. The little boy hid under the bed for the entire night. Only when dawn broke and everything was completely silent did he crawl out, trembling all over. When he looked up and faced the wall, he found it scrawled with blood: "I know you're awake. I'm under your bed."

Ghost Story

The Mirror The first day Xiaoya moved into her new rental, she felt something was off about the mirror. It was hung on the bathroom wall, with a bronze frame and a slightly mottled surface. Every time she looked in the mirror, she felt like her reflection was a beat behind – she'd blink, and the reflection would take a second longer; she'd turn, and the reflection would linger for an extra moment. She told her boyfriend, who laughed it off, calling her neurotic. Until that night. After showering, Xiaoya stood in front of the mirror, drying her hair. She looked down to grab a towel, and when she looked up again, her reflection was still looking down. She froze, staring at the mirror. The 'her' in the mirror slowly raised her head, a strange smile splitting her lips. "You noticed," the reflection said. Xiaoya wanted to run, but her feet felt nailed to the floor. "I've been trapped inside for three years," the reflection continued. "Finally, someone moved in. If you switch with me, you can get out." "Switch... what?" "You come in, I go out." The reflection reached out a hand and pressed it against the mirror's surface. "It's only fair, right? Haven't you always felt that living is tiring?" Xiaoya looked at the hand. She remembered the sleepless nights, the solitary dinners, the moments she felt unwanted. Slowly, she raised her hand and pressed it against the mirror. The next day, her boyfriend came to visit. Xiaoya opened the door, smiling brightly. "You look so much better," her boyfriend said. "Yeah," Xiaoya glanced back at the bathroom. "I slept really well." In the bathroom, the mirror hung silently, reflecting an empty room.

Ghost Story

The Quilt When I was little, Grandma always warned me, "You have to pull the quilt up to your chin, or 'that thing' will grab your feet." I never believed her. Until one winter, when I was eighteen. Stubbornly, I deliberately only covered myself up to my chest. I woke up shivering in the middle of the night. Even though I hadn't opened any windows, the room felt like a freezer. I tried to pull the quilt up, but it felt like something was pressing down on it, making it impossible to move. Then, I felt a cold sensation on my ankle. It felt like someone was lightly gripping my foot with their fingers. I froze, too scared to move. The sensation slowly slid upwards, from my ankle to my calf, like a snail crawling, cold and sticky. I squeezed my eyes shut and recited Buddhist chants. The presence paused for a few seconds. Then, I heard a voice right next to my ear, incredibly close: "Didn't your grandma tell you it doesn't just pull your feet if you don't cover your chin?" I snapped my eyes open. Somehow, the quilt had been pulled up to my chin. And underneath the quilt, it was bulging, like someone was curled up inside, pressed tightly against my body. After that night, I obediently pulled my quilt up to my chin every single night. But I never saw Grandma again.

Ghost Story

Aming had been driving a night shift taxi for ten years, picking up all sorts of passengers. But tonight's passenger made his scalp crawl. At 3 AM, he picked up an old woman in black near the funeral home. After getting in, she didn't say a word, just handed him a slip of paper with an address. Aming glanced at the rearview mirror. The old woman had her head bowed, hands clasped on her lap, her posture unnaturally stiff. Halfway there, Aming felt something was wrong. In the rearview mirror, the old woman's face seemed to be getting closer and closer, almost touching the back of his seat. He slammed on the gas, desperate to get there quickly. "Young man," the old woman suddenly spoke, her voice hoarse. "Do you know who I'm going to see in your car?" Aming gave a dry laugh. "Oh, going to see your son so late?" "Yes," the old woman said. "He died in a car accident three years ago. Tonight is his death anniversary. I visit him every year." Aming gripped the steering wheel, cold sweat streaming down his face. "But this year is different," the old woman paused. "He's finally coming home with me." Just as Aming was about to ask what she meant, in the rearview mirror, the old woman looked up. Her face was pale and sunken, her eyes like two black holes. "Because you are the one who hit him." Aming swerved the steering wheel, and the car veered off the road. When he came to his senses, the back seat was empty. On the seat lay a yellowed photograph – in it, a young man was smiling brightly, arm around the old woman. And the man's face was exactly like Aming's.

《Birthday Borrowed Fate》 14

Chapter Fourteen: Karma and Retribution The steel door was completely torn apart, and A Mu slowly walked into the secret chamber. His clothes were already stained red with blood, exuding a suffocating murderous aura. Old Master Shen, terrified, knelt on the ground, desperately pointing at the several large chests of gold and silver in the corner: "A Mu! A Mu, please spare our lives! All this money is yours! Everything the Shen family has is yours!" A Mu sneered at him, and the dark energy in his eyes gradually condensed into two figures—the vengeful spirits of A Mu's parents, who were murdered by Old Master Shen eighteen years ago! "Shen Dafu, do you still remember the Lin couple from Yunwu Village eighteen years ago?" Lin's roar echoed from A Mu's mouth. Old Master Shen's pupils contracted violently, and his face instantly turned as white as paper. He knew that his crimes had finally met their judgment. A Mu raised his hand and grabbed through the air. Shen Tianci was pulled in front of him by an immense force. A Mu placed his finger on Shen Tianci's forehead, and the life force and birth date that originally belonged to A Mu began to be frantically withdrawn from Shen Tianci's body. Shen Tianci let out a desperate scream, his physical body shriveling at a visible rate, eventually turning into a pile of dry bones…… To be continued……
