This is still a baby, it will bloom when it grows up. It has no thorns and is round, so cute. A bird took a few bites out of the back QQ

Why does the lotus represent the wisdom of life? All plants bloom first and then bear fruit, but only the lotus has cause and effect simultaneously. When the lotus blooms, the lotus seed is already inside. By the time the flower opens, the seed is also mature. The flower is the cause, and the seed is the effect. This is the cause within the effect, and the effect within the cause. All phenomena are empty, but cause and effect are not. The lotus symbolizes transforming afflictions into enlightenment. If there were no mud, the lotus would have nowhere to take root. Afflictions are like the mud in the water; only by awakening from afflictions can you bloom the flower of enlightenment!

The Lycoris flower is a flower that willingly fell into the underworld. Yama, feeling pity, refused, not wanting the flower to suffer in hell. Despite this, the Lycoris flower chose to linger on the path to the underworld, and finally, Yama agreed to let the flower bloom on the path, offering guidance and comfort to the souls leaving the mortal realm. The fragrance of the Lycoris flower possesses a special magic that can awaken the memories of the deceased from their past lives. When souls cross the River of Oblivion and drink the Meng Po soup, they forget everything from their previous lives. Those past experiences remain with the Lycoris flower, which absorbs all the souls' longing, yearning, and attachment to the mortal world, becoming the guiding flower for the deceased to the underworld. There is another legend about the Lycoris flower. Two spirits guarded it: a flower spirit named Manju (manju) and a leaf spirit named Saka (saka). They took turns guarding the Lycoris flower for thousands of years but never met. Since the flower and leaves of the Lycoris never appear at the same time, they longed for each other, believing in their love's existence, yet were also tormented by this connected fate. One day, they decided to defy the gods' rules and secretly meet. The flower and leaves appeared together at night, breaking the laws of life and death. This act angered the heavens, and Manju and Saka were cast into the cycle of reincarnation, cursed to be forever apart and suffer tribulations in the mortal world for all their lives. Each time Manju and Saka reincarnated, they would smell the fragrance of the Lycoris flower on the path to the underworld, remembering their vows of love, and swear never to separate again, only to be cursed again in the next cycle of reincarnation to never be together.

Blue flowers are a favorite in spring, summer, and fall, boasting abundant blooms and a long flowering period. They are also widely recognized as easy to care for, with cuttings rooting in about ten days.
