The villains aren't simply evil; much of the suffering stems from the helplessness brought by prophecy. As the Hydro Archon Furina, she acted as a deity in Fontaine's opera house for 500 years. But she possessed no divine power, being just an ordinary person. There are a few crucial settings in this world: Fontaine's prophecy states that it will eventually be submerged by the sea, and everyone will dissolve. To deceive the Heavenly Principles, Furina had to perpetually play the role of the Hydro Archon, unable to reveal a single secret. And a brutal point: for these 500 years, she had to bear the fear and loneliness all by herself. Furina, who appears flamboyant and attention-seeking, lived in constant fear internally. Her exaggerated performances every time she appeared were all forced endurance. She believed she had to act forever, only able to shed her mask when the prophecy concluded. It felt like a monologue lasting 500 years. I think the story is excellent. It's not too abrupt. However, as it's a long main story, you need to savor the emotional details slowly. Please don't rush. This is actually quite normal. And Furina is super charming!!!!! That scene where she broke down crying after the curtain fell 🥹🥹🥹 was incredibly touching! I can understand the feeling of being moved by her 🥺🥺 I highly recommend everyone to watch the Fontaine main story.
