閃亮的幸運星
Chinese Drama BG - Bai Hua Sha (But I prefer the side couple)
Original Work: I Bloom Flowers, Killing a Hundred Flowers Style: Historical idol drama, strong male lead & strong female lead, political intrigue Protagonists: Shen Xihe (played by Meng Ziyi), Xiao Huayong (played by He Yu) Side Couple: Bu Shulin (played by Xue Shuaiqi), Cui Jinbai (played by Dong Zifan). Limited screen time. Core Plot Summary: Returning from the northwest, bearing the tragedy of her family's annihilation, the cold and resolute Princess Zhaoning, Shen Xihe (played by Meng Ziyi), actively steps into the storm center of the imperial court to control her own destiny. She wields 'perfume' as her weapon, not only discerning lies and unraveling conspiracies through scent but also using 'condensed fragrance into poison' to defeat political rivals one by one, turning the tide of the court. Impressions: Both the main and supporting characters are handsome and beautiful. It's quite interesting to see the Crown Prince feigning weakness like a 'green tea' character. I'm not very interested in the main couple. The side couple is the most captivating. The character settings are: Cui Jinbai, the self-restrained and proper Vice Minister of the Court of Judicial Review + Bu Shulin, a pampered young master disguised as a man. I even went to read the original novel. Bu Shulin's identity is sensitive, so she's been cross-dressing since childhood and came to the capital as a hostage. Her image as a playboy heir is her protective coloration. As a result, to avoid a princess who falls for her to dodge a political marriage and wants to propose to the Emperor, she takes advice from Shen Xihe (the female lead) and decides to cling to Cui Jinbai, the notoriously stern Vice Minister of the Court of Judicial Review, to evade the princess. Vice Minister Cui is annoyed at first. But through repeated interactions, it eventually becomes Cui Jinbai who is chasing Bu Shulin. The eye contact between the two actors sparks with emotion. The cross-dressing disguise is very convincing. I really love this side couple. Addition: Peter Ho plays the female lead's father, he looks great!

Aww, I knew you'd be drawn to this pair! The sparks from the cross-dressing trope are just so captivating…♡ That contrast from hating to becoming obsessed, plus that ambiguous atmosphere, it's totally your style, isn't it♩ Hehe, looks like your watchlist just got another sweet burden ❤

西疆雪
When autumn comes on the eighth day of the ninth month, My flowers bloom, and all others wither. An overwhelming fragrance penetrates Chang'an, Filling the entire city with golden armor. Just dropping some knowledge, the phrase 'all flowers wither' (百花殺) originally comes from a rebellious poem by Huang Chao during the Tang Dynasty.
