Manga "Hotaru no Hanayome" (The Firefly Bride) 💍🦋 Review | Old Post Revised and Re-uploaded

The original manga has concluded. An anime adaptation is confirmed to premiere on October 9, 2026. MVM (Muse Communication) will be the distributor in Taiwan. Looking forward to it! 🎉 The story is set in the Meiji era. Kirigiri Satoko, a frail young lady from a prestigious family, is kidnapped and held captive by human traffickers one day. In a moment of desperation to survive, she impulsively asks the assassin Goto Shinpei, "Please marry me." To her surprise, Shinpei accepts, and thus begins their dangerous and peculiar relationship. What attracts me most to this work is Shinpei! 😆 He's a truly dangerous individual, exuding a chaotic aura that makes you unpredictable about his next move. However, after spending time with Satoko, he reveals a surprisingly simple and cute side. This combination of yandere + reverse charm is incredibly captivating – both crazy and cute at the same time 😆 (though this might heavily depend on whether you like the yandere trope 🤣 Satoko's character design is also quite appealing. Despite her delicate health, when faced with a crisis, she doesn't just hide behind others but calmly thinks and strives to find a way to survive. Furthermore, the art style is exquisite, and Satoko is truly beautiful 🥹 If you enjoy romance stories with strong character appeal, a touch of yandere, and a dangerous atmosphere, I highly recommend this one! Now, just waiting for the anime to air in October 😁
