Soldiers' Day

Origin of the "93" Soldiers' Day In 1946, the National Government of the Republic of China designated September 3rd as the "Victory Day of the War of Resistance." In 1955, to enhance the unity of the three armed forces and to honor the sacrifice and dedication of the loyal soldiers of the National Army, this day was officially established as "Soldiers' Day." Starting in 2005, the government further designated this day as the "National Defense Education Day for All Citizens," imbuing it with the contemporary value of national defense for everyone.
