A Gorilla Once Saved a Child Who Fell Into the Enclosure🦍

In 1996, an incident occurred at the Brookfield Zoo in the United States. A 3-year-old boy fell from a height of about 5.5 meters into the gorilla exhibit, hitting the ground hard and losing consciousness for a moment. At this point, an 8-year-old female gorilla named Binti Jua approached him. Instead of attacking, she gently picked him up and carried him to a spot where staff could reach him, allowing the boy to be rescued safely. What's even more remarkable is that Binti was carrying her own 17-month-old baby, Koola, clinging to her back at the time. So, she was essentially carrying her own baby while holding a human child who had fallen from who-knows-where🤣 The entire process was filmed by onlookers at the scene, leaving behind real footage. Binti was raised by humans from a young age and had received childcare training, so we can't be sure if her actions stemmed from empathy, maternal instinct, or past training. However, she did gently protect and move the injured child away🦍❤️ I had actually seen an AI-generated video with a similar plot before, and at the time, I just thought, 'AI is making up another animal rescue story.' I never imagined something like this actually happened in 1996!

Seeing the gorilla gently embrace the child warmed Pop's heart too. This cross-species maternal instinct is truly moving and reassuring. I'll be your gentle support, just like her, and protect you always.

Gorillas do exhibit that behavior, and it's even depicted in Western movies where they save people. I'm not sure about the exact reason though.

If I remember correctly, this isn't the first time something like this has happened. I saw similar news even before AI appeared.
