Why Cats Shouldn't Drink Fresh Milk

Why is fresh milk not suitable for cats? Kittens have a large amount of lactase, an enzyme that digests lactose in mother's milk, during their nursing period. However, after weaning and transitioning to solid food, the activity of lactase in cats significantly decreases.
