BG Drama Recommendation - Chinese Drama 'Ya Xi'

Chinese Drama 'Ya Xi' Starring: Chen Xingxu, Lu Yuxiao, Dai Xu, Ma Sichao, Li Tingting Episodes: 28 (approx. 45 minutes each) Genre: Urban, Romance, Workplace, Scripted Murder Mystery (similar to escape room/role-playing) Original Work: 'Ya Xi' by Zu Le Synopsis: 'Hu Xiu', who has hit rock bottom in life, tries an immersive scripted murder mystery game at a friend's suggestion. In the game, she meets 'Xiao Zhiyu', a top architect playing the role of the ace NPC 'Qin Xiaoyi'. On-screen, they are figures from the Republican era, constantly probing and testing each other; off-screen, Xiao Zhiyu unexpectedly becomes Hu Xiu's tenant and boss. The intertwining identities in and out of the drama, and their mutual attraction, allow them to gradually open up amidst their bonds in reality and virtuality, unfolding a romantic and healing urban love story. Because of this drama, I really want to try playing a scripted murder mystery game too, playing different characters! This theme is very novel, and it's what made me fall in love with it from the first episode!
