I've always been curious about this. How did language come to be? I can kind of accept that writing evolved from drawings. But why can languages be divided into so many types? If it was passed down from elders, then how did they... Like, what sound this character 'ㄚ' makes and what it means. And isn't it amazing that there are so many languages around the world?

Basically, it's due to geographical isolation, historical migration, natural evolution over time, and the fusion and contact between different ethnic groups 🤔 However, regarding the initial origin, rather than imitating natural sounds, I personally tend to think the origin is music itself. Besides the fact that music transcends borders, you can see how well indigenous music has developed in various regions. Especially the indigenous people of our region (Austronesian peoples).
