The North Wind and the Sun

Story: The North Wind and the Sun were arguing about who was stronger. Just then, a traveler wearing a coat came along the road. They decided that whoever could first make the traveler take off his coat would be the winner. The North Wind first exerted its power, blowing a biting cold wind with all its might, trying to blow the coat off. As a result, the traveler, feeling too cold, wrapped his coat even tighter. It was the Sun's turn. The Sun gathered its clouds and shone warmly upon the earth. Before long, the traveler felt increasingly hot and voluntarily took off his coat. Moral of the story: Gentle persuasion is often more powerful than coercion; overcoming strength with gentleness is what truly wins people over.
