Delivery driver enters woman's home without notice, exposing her naked
A woman in Changsha, Hunan Province, booked a home pickup service for a return on August 17th. Just three minutes after placing the order, the delivery driver entered her home without calling or knocking. The woman, who had just finished showering, was exposed naked and screamed in shock. She has since suffered from long-term insomnia and psychological trauma, becoming wary even when neighbors pass by her door. More than a month after the incident, the delivery driver has not apologized. The woman reported it to the police, but they deemed it outside their jurisdiction as there was no property loss or physical altercation, thus not constituting a public security offense. She complained to the delivery company, but customer service only stated they would follow up. The woman demanded a personal apology from the driver and his supervisor, threatening legal action otherwise. The delivery driver responded, claiming he 'saw nothing' and retorted, 'How was I supposed to know you weren't wearing clothes?' He emphasized that the door was open and he just wanted to pick up the package. Lawyer Zhang Jianqi stated that the driver's failure to knock before entering was improper and lacked due diligence. However, he also noted that the woman's door was ajar, making it difficult for the driver to anticipate the situation inside, and legally it might not constitute trespassing. Nevertheless, he added that her claim for an on-site apology should be legally supported due to the mental distress caused. The incident has sparked discussions about the safety of living alone and the regulations for delivery services. Netizens are urging the delivery industry to strictly implement the 'contact first, then visit' policy to prevent similar privacy violations. Although this is a mainland China news story... What's strange is that almost all netizens in mainland China are blaming the woman for not locking her door, thinking the delivery driver is innocent and was set up. The fact that the delivery driver entered someone's home without knocking or contacting them, and offered no apology afterward, is being downplayed..... I can only say, women living alone should be careful 😑

That's really bizarre, why didn't they lock the door? But some delivery services are also pretty bad these days, they don't call beforehand or ring the doorbell. It's all problematic.

The landlady's actions are indeed mysterious, but working a job isn't easy either. She doesn't earn much and still gets sued.

They all have issues! One can't protect themselves, another doesn't respect others, and the one on the side has no concept of law... It's utterly speechless.

Living alone is dangerous for anyone, male or female. These days, it's not just women who are at risk. ^_^ Both parties are at fault. I don't think anyone would dare shower without locking their door, even when home alone. Doesn't that feel unsafe? As for the person who pushed the door open without knocking or calling first, besides being rude, aren't they afraid of being scammed or worse?
