Talking about the anime "I'm the Villainess, Therefore I'm Going to Be the Queen" 🦋🐀

The original work is a light novel, and the anime adaptation will air in July 2026 with 11 episodes, and has already finished broadcasting 🎉 I haven't read the original work, and this is my first time following a new anime season~ The story is set in a Chinese-style imperial court, where girls from five prestigious families enter the "Hina Palace" as "Hina" candidates for the Crown Prince's consort. Among them, Huang Lingling, who was highly favored but frail since childhood, has her body swapped by Zhu Huiyue, known as the "Villainess," through sorcery, and falls into a crisis where she might be executed. When I first read the synopsis, I thought it would be a very oppressive court drama, but the first episode completely shattered my first impression because Lingling is just so weird (in a good way) 🤣 Suffering from illness since childhood, Lingling doesn't fall into despair after her body is swapped. Instead, she's incredibly excited about having a healthy body and is full of energy every day. Her super positive personality makes the entire work lively and joyful. I really like this kind of protagonist 🥰 Besides the court struggles, the work also features supernatural elements like sorcery and soul-swapping. The "Hina Palace" setting is also interesting. Each of the five Hina girls has different family powers behind them, making it really hard to guess whose scheme it is when a conspiracy arises. The process of uncovering the truth is quite tense and exciting 😆 Furthermore, a second season has already been announced for this series! It's scheduled to air in January 2027 🎉 I recommend this to those who like Chinese-style imperial settings, mystery-solving, and a positive protagonist who makes the most out of adversity ✨
