Mid-Autumn Festival

An Unforgettable Mid-Autumn BBQ The Mid-Autumn Festival arrived. After dinner, my family and I went outdoors for a barbecue. Dad prepared the grill first, while Mom laid out slices of meat, sausages, corn, and vegetables on the table one by one. My brother and I weren't idle either, sometimes helping to carry things, sometimes eagerly anticipating the aroma of the barbecue. Before long, the fire in the grill began to blaze, and as the meat slices hit the grates, they sizzled, releasing their fragrance. "Can we eat yet?" my brother asked impatiently. Dad smiled and said, "Wait a little longer, it's not cooked yet!" We had no choice but to stand by and wait. Finally, the first batch of barbecue was ready, and everyone sat down together to share. Midway through the meal, I looked up at the sky. The moon tonight was round and bright, illuminating our family's smiling faces. Dad suddenly said, "What's most important about the Mid-Autumn Festival isn't how much you eat, but that the family can gather together." Hearing this, I felt this year's Mid-Autumn Festival was especially warm. After dinner, we cleaned up the grill together. Although everyone was tired, smiles were still on our faces. I hope that next year's Mid-Autumn Festival, we can also gather as a family like today, grilling, chatting, and admiring the moon, leaving behind more beautiful memories. The moon will grow rounder year by year, and the companionship of family will become the most precious memory in my heart.
