Yue Xingyue's Otherworld

Chapter 1 continues. Her fingertips brushed against a pair of soft ears. The ears twitched slightly at her touch, their tips covered in snow-white fur. She froze. Something seemed to be pressing against her back. Yue Xingyue slowly turned her head and saw a fluffy white tail curled up beside her. She was silent for a long time. "...Cat ears?" Her voice was much younger than she remembered, like that of a twelve-year-old. Yue Xingyue pinched her own cheek, then pinched her arm hard. The pain shot through her immediately. It wasn't a dream. She got out of bed, her bare feet landing on the cold wooden floor. A cracked bronze mirror stood by the wall. Leaning on the edge of the table, she walked over and looked into the mirror. The girl in the mirror had long, snow-white hair that reached her waist, as soft as the first snow of winter. Her face was still childish, her skin fair, her features exquisitely unreal. What drew the most attention were her eyes. Pale blue and pale purple intertwined, like a lake in the night sky illuminated by moonlight. She raised her hand, and the girl in the mirror raised hers. It was indeed her. But it wasn't her original self. "I... transmigrated?" Yue Xingyue whispered the words. She had read countless stories like this online, but never imagined it would actually happen to her. She had lived in an ordinary world. Twenty years old, an orphan, no family, and no one to care about.
