Sato Mafuyu (Yano Shogo) - Marutsuke

The ending theme song for the anime GIVEN, sung by voice actor Yano Shogo. I loved this song the moment I first heard it, and I especially love the lyrics. Lyrics Translation: Sadness is a weapon that hurts people But I didn't realize it Love is a disease that pains the heart But I have no way to cure it These days feel like a miracle, yet still somewhat lacking There's an unfillable void You're strange, your existence makes me Sometimes strong, sometimes fragile What kind of beings are we? Can we be called perfect "humans"? What do you think? What do you think? I'll keep searching and draw a circle Kindness is like building blocks, it can be stacked higher and higher But the higher it's stacked, the more fragile it becomes Righteousness is justice, but if someone goes off track Who will be there to save them? What do you think of us? Can we be called a perfect "love"? What do you think? What do you think? Let's draw a circle even without an answer What kind of beings are we? Can we have a "life" together, the two of us? What do you think? What do you think? I'll put my wishes inside the circle "Life" is like the weather, sometimes sunny, sometimes rainy Either way, they will come What if there was an umbrella? I'll grab that umbrella Let's make us two into one?
