(Original Song by YOASOBI, Vocal: ikura) Song Title: Racing into the Night (夜に駆ける) Lyrics/Composition: Ayase Release Date: 2021 Lyrics Translation: https://home.gamer.com.tw/artwork.php?sn=5001507 Original Song Sample: https://youtu.be/by4SYYWlhEs "Racing into the Night" (夜に駆ける) is YOASOBI's musical adaptation of Mayu Shinjo's short story "Thanatos no Yūwaku" (タナトスの誘惑). It was their debut song and has garnered over 290 million views to date. According to interviews, because Ayase initially produced music with VOCALOID, they spent a long time refining the song with ikura in the recording studio while recording "Racing into the Night." There are differences between synthesized voices and human vocals, such as extremely high vocal ranges, continuous key changes, and lack of planned breathing points, which demanded extreme vocal technique and were quite inhuman. Ikura admitted to struggling with this for a long time, having no idea how to sing it while breathing. Eventually, she returned to her alma mater (Nihon University College of Art) to seek advice on singing techniques from her professor, and finally completed the recording. However, this version is likely Ayase's ideal version from the start, though who knows if ikura will have PTSD listening to it .ᐟ.ᐟ.ᐟ
