Tomofumi Tanizawa - Kimi ni Todoke

This is the OP from the first season of the anime 'Kimi ni Todoke'. I think this song is truly a classic, not only are the lyrics well-written, but the melody is also very upbeat and sounds amazing! So good! Lyrics Translation: Under the gentle sunlight, let the bells ring slowly The breeze caressing my cheeks calms my breathing Twirling tears, tomorrow with a name attached Threads of future colors connect This innocent and lively feeling And the days we laughed heartily together I want to cherish them carefully You, crossing through fragmented time and space Gave me so many firsts Connecting, reaching you The twilight after school, your smiling back Secret whispers, within longing that cannot be touched You in my heart, me in your heart Threads of future colors intertwine Embracing the scent of the streets after the rain And all the dream-like secrets in my heart Though I wanted to cry countless times, I still smiled If only I could Jump into this heart sooner than expected Connecting, reaching you In front of you, who is incredibly important I am the one who protects you well so you won't get hurt Even if those words become a substitute for farewell I can honestly accept all of this This innocent and lively feeling And the days we laughed heartily together I want to cherish them carefully Gradually growing up Surpassing the me who wanted to become like you Connecting Reaching you right now
