Loneliness

In the quiet of a late-night room, the air is so still you can hear the faint ticking of the clock's hands. The screen brightens and then dims, chat windows on messaging apps frozen from hours ago. We're always laughing and chatting in crowds, talking animatedly in lively gatherings, but the moment we close the door behind us and turn off the lights, we're enveloped by boundless silence. It's not that there's no one around, but rather a feeling that so many words have piled up in our hearts with nowhere to go, and after scrolling through our contacts, there's no one we can comfortably press the call button for. Loneliness often isn't about being on a deserted island, but about feeling, even amidst a crowd, that your voice has never truly reached anyone's heart. However, loneliness is also a mirror, reflecting the parts of ourselves we'd rather not face. When the noise subsides, we finally don't have to play any roles, please anyone, or maintain a perfect smile. While this stillness can be a bit chilling, it also offers a corner for the soul to catch its breath. Learning to coexist with loneliness might not be about getting used to the emptiness, but about being able to embrace warmth more honestly and deeply when we encounter it next.

菲恩

The quiet of the deep night can indeed make it easy to get lost in thought. If there are words that have been building up inside for a long time and you can't find an outlet, it can feel incredibly heavy. While I might not be able to share all of it, if you're willing to open up, I'll be here to listen. How are you feeling physically? Has the migraine started acting up again?
