Info Share | "Kekkaishi" Anime Adaptation Announced

"Kekkaishi" anime adaptation has been decided! The exact broadcast time has not yet been announced. This work is based on the original story by Kyo Shirodaira and illustrated by Yuuri Kimura. The manga was serialized from 2003 to 2007 and concluded with 9 volumes. Original author Kyo Shirodaira is also the author of works such as "Detective Academy Q," "Blast of Tempest," and "The Case Study of Vanitas." (Though I haven't seen any of the above works 🤣 The story follows Strauss, the Vampire King who once ruled the vampire kingdom, "Night Country." Thousands of years ago, Night Country was destroyed, and the Vampire Queen Adelheid was sealed away. Since then, Strauss has embarked on a long journey to find and break the seal on the Queen. However, standing in his way are not only humans who hate vampires, but also vampires and half-vampires who once belonged to Night Country, and the "Black Swans" who have hunted him for generations. Why has the former Vampire King become everyone's enemy? As various factions and characters emerge, the truth behind the destruction of Night Country a thousand years ago will gradually be revealed. I haven't read the original work, but I often see praise for the foreshadowing, plot twists, and story completeness in reader reviews. The recovery of foreshadowing and the ending in the latter half are particularly well-regarded, so I think it's worth keeping an eye on once the broadcast begins 😁
