The Colors of 101
My office is near Taipei 101, so I pass by it often. Did you know you can instantly tell what day of the week it is just by looking up at Taipei 101? The night-time facade lighting of 101 is actually a "rainbow calendar"! The building officially cycles through colors corresponding to the days of the week, following the "Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet" spectrum: Monday is red, Tuesday is orange... and so on, with Sunday being violet. Next time you're looking up at the Taipei skyline at night, try using this little trivia to figure out what day it is and say hello to your lucky color for the day!
