Info Share | "After School Return Trip" Anime to Air in April 2027

The original work is the manga "Hōkago Kitaku Biyori" by Matsuda Mai, which began serialization in "Manga Action" in 2023 and is still ongoing. In 2025, it won the "Frozen Foods wa Nichirei Award" Special Prize in the Tankōbon category at the "Next Popular Manga Awards." It also ranked 18th in the Tankōbon category at the 2026 "Next Popular Manga Awards." Shun Sato, once a highly anticipated soccer prodigy, had to give up soccer due to an injury, losing his goal. Upon entering high school, he meets a strange upperclassman, Naoki Sato, who always talks about wanting to go home. Invited by his senpai, Shun joins the "Super Return Trip Club," and the two begin to hang out after school, exploring the small joys in everyday life. A leisurely and somewhat sweet youth school story unfolds! Looks like a really cute, slice-of-life romance story~ I had this manga on my list before, but haven't read it yet. Maybe I'll just watch the anime when it comes out next April 😆
