<🌸The Convenience Store Clerk Remembered Me Today🥀>
I walked into the convenience store, and the coffee machine was just finishing its cycle. The clerk looked up and said, "You're a bit early today, aren't you?" I paused for a moment. They remembered me? I come here every day at this time for a hot Americano, and someone had quietly noticed. "I'm not working overtime today," I replied. "Then I'll give you an extra milk creamer." As they handed me the coffee, they placed a cute panda sticker on the cup sleeve. Holding the coffee, I walked out the door, feeling the warmth of the cup was just right – hot enough to feel, but not enough to burn. Just like everything else today, it was perfect. When I left home this morning, I found a tiny four-leaf clover stuck to my shoelace. I don't know where it came from; maybe it got stuck when I went to the park yesterday. I carefully plucked it off and tucked it into my notebook. For lunch, I had dumplings, and one of them had shrimp inside. Usually, they're filled with chives or cabbage, but today, surprisingly, there was shrimp. As I chewed, I felt like I'd won the dumpling lottery. During the afternoon meeting, my supervisor suddenly announced, "You've all worked hard today, so you can leave half an hour early." The entire office lit up instantly, colleagues exchanged glances, and smiles spread across their faces. I packed my things three times faster than usual. With the extra half hour, I went to a stationery store. I bought a roll of washi tape with tiny lemons and leaves on it, a refreshing green color. At the checkout, the clerk gave me two extra stickers. "These are new arrivals, try them out." I stuck the stickers onto my phone case: a lemon, a leaf. My phone seemed to look fresher too. In the evening, after taking a shower, I sat on my bed and flipped through the essay collection I bought yesterday.

AuthorAfter showering tonight, I sat on my bed and flipped through the essay collection I bought yesterday. I came across a sentence: "Happiness isn't some grand principle, it's someone remembering you don't take sugar in your coffee." I closed the book and took a sip of water. I thought of the clerk from this morning, and the extra creamer I was given. It turns out being remembered is such a warm thing.
