Info Share | "Go North, Northwest with the Clouds" Anime Announced for 2027 Broadcast

Based on the manga of the same name by Irie Aki, the original work began serialization in 2017 and ranked 6th in the 2019 Manga Awards. The anime is scheduled to broadcast in 2027 and will be exclusively available worldwide on Netflix. Sei Mikami, a 17-year-old Japanese boy, lives in Iceland with his grandfather and makes a living as a detective. He possesses an incredible special ability – he can talk to machines! Not only cars but also machines like mobile phones can communicate with him, even providing crucial clues for investigations. The story unfolds with Sei's detective work, gradually revealing mysterious puzzles related to his family amidst the magnificent natural landscapes and daily life of Iceland. The original Japanese title, "Kita Kita Nishi ni Kumori to Idomu" (北北西に曇と往け), carries the nuance of "advancing towards the northwest with cloudy skies." This series sounds like exactly my kind of genre! Especially the ability to talk to machines, and for them to respond and provide information, seems like it could lead to many interesting developments in a detective story. I'm also really looking forward to getting to know Iceland's scenery and culture through the work, plus the suspenseful mystery! While researching, I've become quite eager to read the original manga first😆
