Eve, a human girl abandoned in the forest, meets Nem, an old great dragon nearing the end of his life. Nem, who intended to quietly face death, unexpectedly becomes the girl's adoptive father, and their heartwarming life together begins. However, Nem eventually reaches the end of his life. To Nem's surprise, Eve revives him as a 'Skeleton Dragon' through a soul summon! Worried about his daughter's future, Nem decides to take Eve to human settlements, and a fantastical parent-child adventure transcending race and life and death begins! I find this kind of interspecies parent-child theme really cute! I checked and the original work seems to have good reviews too. Readers praise the heartwarming interactions between the dragon and the girl, as well as the work's humor and fantasy world-building. I initially thought it was just a simple healing slice-of-life story, but it also includes adventure, interactions between different species, and a somewhat poignant tale. It feels a bit like 'The Cat and the Dragon,' which also features an interspecies parent-child relationship, but with added elements of the girl's growth and fantasy adventure. Adding another to my 2027 watchlist!😆
