A Visually Stunning Epic: Achilles in 'Troy'

Achilles is the strongest warrior of the Greeks, proud and unwilling to listen to the ambitious kings of the allied forces. He didn't join the war to help the king seize land, but solely to leave behind a name that would never be forgotten. He once fell out with the king and refused to fight. It wasn't until his best friend, wearing his armor, went to battle in his place and was killed by the eldest prince of the enemy city-state. Grief-stricken and enraged, Achilles returned to the battlefield and engaged in a duel with the enemy prince in front of the city gates, killing him. In his fury, he tied the prince's corpse to his chariot and dragged it around as an act of vengeance. Later, the old king of the enemy, risking his life, secretly entered the Greek camp and knelt before Achilles, begging only to have his son's body returned. Achilles, moved by the father's sorrow, eventually agreed to return the corpse. Afterward, the Greek army used the Trojan Horse strategy to breach the city under the cover of night. Amidst the chaos, the younger brother of the prince who had killed Achilles' friend seized an opportunity and shot Achilles in his only weak spot, the heel, with an arrow. The legendary warrior met his end.
