In front of him sat a bowl of sticky noodles, with a faint, slightly overpowering aroma of burnt caramel wafting from the bottom. Shang Qinghua swallowed nervously, weakly stating he wasn't very hungry. However, facing Mo Bei-jun's disbelieving yet firm gaze, Shang Qinghua quickly took a mouthful and forced a smile at Mo Bei-jun. Compared to the visually appealing and delicious food he'd had earlier, this was truly hard to swallow. Though the food in his mouth was difficult to get down, seeing the smudges of charcoal dust on Mo Bei-jun's fair face, the flour and charcoal mixed on his hands, and upon closer inspection, a few small scratches, a warm feeling welled up inside him. Before he knew it, he had finished the entire bowl of noodles. Mo Bei-jun sat opposite him, watching Shang Qinghua finish with evident satisfaction. After the meal, Shang Qinghua took out a handkerchief from his robes to wipe his mouth, then stood up to carefully wipe Mo Bei-jun's face and slender hands. However, the more he wiped, the blacker they became. Mo Bei-jun just watched Shang Qinghua's face obediently, his eyes full of affection. Suddenly, seeing Shang Qinghua stifle a laugh, he turned to look in the bronze mirror at his own soot-covered face. Shang Qinghua burst into loud laughter. Mo Bei-jun roared, "Shang Qinghua!" The one who had been laughing so unrestrainedly quickly composed himself, but a few chuckles still escaped. Mo Bei-jun then flashed a sly smile, pulled the still-giggling Shang Qinghua into his arms, and whispered in his ear, "How about you just bathe me directly?" Shang Qinghua's face instantly flushed red, and he could no longer laugh.
