The boy, in pajamas, lies listlessly on a green mattress, protesting with 'zzZ.' Potato chips, a smartphone, and a TV remote scattered around form the entire universe of the holiday. Where's the promised sunshine? Blocked by the curtains. Where's the promised outing? Spent entirely on binge-watching and zoning out. This huge disparity actually stems from the accumulated fatigue of daily life. For most people, the true meaning of a holiday isn't 'exploring the world' but 'restoring body and mind.' The first day evaporates in catching up on sleep, the second day is lost scrolling through phones, and the third day is spent reluctantly with the mattress amidst the anxiety of 'going back to work tomorrow.' Ultimately, the holiday is a process of devolution from an 'outdoor adventurer' to an 'ultimate couch potato.' Although unproductive, looking at the scattered snack wrappers and remotes, this might be the most luxurious and realistic holiday philosophy of our time. This is how the 'couch potato' is born🤣🤣
