Info Share | "Nue no Onmyo Toshi" Announces Anime Adaptation, Premiering July 2027

The manga "Nue no Onmyo Toshi" by Kouta Kawae, which began serialization in "Weekly Shonen Jump" in May 2023, has officially announced its adaptation into a TV anime, scheduled to premiere in July 2027! This series ranked 7th in the Paper Manga category of the "Next Manga Award 2024" and has surpassed 1.6 million copies in circulation, making it one of Jump's popular works in recent years. High school student Gakuro Yashima has been able to see "phantoms" invisible to ordinary people since childhood, but he has always been powerless against them. One day, Gakuro encounters a mysterious phantom named "Nue," who is into subculture, at school. Guided by Nue, he gradually enters the world of Onmyoji and gets caught up in the battle between humans and phantoms. The work blends elements of school life, yokai, Onmyoji battles, and romantic comedy. CVs Gakuro Yashima: Kai Miura Nue: Saori Ōnishi Nanaki Suou: Sayumi Suzushiro I saw rumors about the anime adaptation about 10 days ago, and it was officially announced yesterday (10/12)! 😆 After looking into the original work, I found that besides the typical battle shonen elements, it also has quite explicit harem and male-oriented fan service elements. I was particularly surprised to see there are up to 9 potential heroines! 🤣 While the Onmyoji and phantom theme is quite appealing to me, harem genres aren't really my cup of tea, so I probably won't be following this one. However, the original work has a certain level of popularity and has received manga awards, so I'm sharing it for those who might be interested in this type of story~
