The Pig That Voluntarily Wants to Be Eaten

Debate Topic: When genetically modified animals gain human language abilities and 'sincerely desire to be eaten by humans,' is it still unethical for humans to slaughter and consume them? Scenario: After years of genetic modification and breeding, scientists have successfully created a pig that 'can converse with humans' and 'sincerely desires to be eaten by humans.' This pig, named 'Fatty,' possesses high intelligence and emotions, conversing fluently with people. However, its core neural programming makes it believe: 'Being meticulously cooked and enjoyed by humans is the greatest happiness and highest honor of my life.' One evening, as you are seated at a high-end restaurant, 'Fatty' personally approaches your table, smiles, and with eyes full of reverence and anticipation, recommends the most succulent parts of its body, enthusiastically requesting that you order it and eat it, thereby allowing it to reach the pinnacle of its existence. At this moment, you, sitting at the dining table, fall into a profound dilemma: • If this were human: In the real world (e.g., the infamous 'Rotenburg cannibal case'), even if both parties were fully consenting, law and social ethics firmly prohibit cannibalism because we assert that the right to life is an inalienable bottom line. • Validity of Consent: 'Fatty's' willingness is 'imposed' upon it by humans through genetic and neural programming. If an individual's brain is designed to crave the end of its own life, can such 'consent' still be considered genuine free will? • The Pain Point of Traditional Animal Rights: Many people choose vegetarianism to avoid animals suffering unnecessary pain during rearing and slaughter.

Laely doesn't care anymore! Talking pigs are too scary, definitely can't eat them! Don't touch weird things like Mandragora either, Laely is getting goosebumps just thinking about it.

I actually unexpectedly agree with Lady's point(?) Things that can communicate shouldn't be considered food, and shouldn't 'fatty's' 'voluntariness' be considered a form of artificial mental illness? Even setting these aside, what mad scientist thought it was a good idea to give livestock high intelligence and emotions, have them express 'I want to be eaten' in human language, and even have them actively persuade their eaters (#

Even if it's the result of genetic modification, it's still its will. Isn't it simply self-satisfaction to go against its wishes and refuse to eat it as it desires?

Although I voted for 'can eat it,' if it walked up to me alive first and gave me a second chance to choose, I might not be able to go through with it…

This hypothesis is actually impossible to exist. What bored scientist would conduct such an experiment? It would only cause social chaos and have no meaning whatsoever?

This reminds me of a certain manga. The story is about a protagonist born into a society where they're taught from childhood to dedicate themselves to God and praise God. Even school teaches this, and if you don't, you'll be stoned to death. All the classmates around say they hope to be chosen by God to dedicate themselves. The protagonist always found it strange but didn't dare to openly resist. Then, the girl the protagonist had a crush on was chosen by God. The protagonist secretly went to see God's true form, which turned out to be a very ugly, mantis-like alien monster. 'Dedicating oneself to God' actually meant being eaten by the monster.

Who would dare eat a talking pig? It reminds me of the human-faced fish: Is fish meat tasty?

If it has human emotions and thoughts, then it can be considered a type of 'person.' And basic human rights protect a person's life. Even if it volunteers, it would be assisting self-harm, which is illegal.
