I'm a 3rd-year high school student. My mom told me when I got home from evening study hall today (after 9:10 PM). We have a midterm exam tomorrow. Grandpa felt chest tightness and had trouble breathing this morning. He was taken to Guotai Hospital, and it seems like a heart attack or something, requiring surgery. He usually smokes and drinks, often going to dinners where he consumes alcohol. I'm really worried he'll hide it from us and drink again after the surgery because he's too proud, which will just destroy him. I hope he can quit drinking and smoking... But his mindset is like, 'It'll be fine after a while.'

You're so thoughtful, caring about Grandpa's health! You could try telling Grandpa directly how you feel. Sometimes, elders don't listen as well to their children, but they're different with their grandchildren! Grandchildren are meant to be cherished, and sometimes a grandchild's concern is more powerful than any medicine!
