Has anyone compiled a list of candidates who support abolishing the death penalty?
In recent years, there have been many random murder cases that have caused public outrage. However, with elections approaching, people from the death penalty abolitionist groups have gone silent. I was wondering if anyone knows which candidates who support abolishing the death penalty are running in the upcoming elections, so that people who see this post can know who to vote for and who not to vote for...

I'm not sure about the candidates, but I remember there seemed to be a list of legislators who supported abolishing X.

I don't think the point is about abolishing the death penalty itself, but whether there are better alternatives after abolishing it. The biggest problem right now is that supporters of abolishing the death penalty only talk about abolition without proposing convincing alternatives. Also, some of the current death row inmates have been imprisoned for a very long time, to the point where they might die of natural causes😂. If we don't execute them, what's the difference compared to sentencing them to life imprisonment without parole?

AuthorI believe strict laws are necessary for governance. Nowadays, the law can no longer protect the vulnerable. How can a group of bureaucrats aiming for political careers win public trust?
