Character Profile: Dark Gathering "Hozuki Yoi" (Spoiler Alert)

Voice Actor: Yuu Shinohara Character Age: 8-9 years old At the age of 7, her pupils became double, and she gained the ability to see the "Yousei" (the spirit world). However, unlike people with normal spiritual sight (passive), she needs to "actively" look to see spirits. At the time, she didn't know this. Even going to a major hospital couldn't diagnose the problem. Her mother, to encourage her, planned a family trip, but unfortunately, a car accident occurred. She was the only survivor among the three and personally witnessed her mother's soul being taken by "Kouma" (a spirit resembling an embryo). After the accident, her eyes could see spirits even more clearly than before (4K high definition). She also scored over 160 on an intelligence test, becoming a child prodigy. In the hospital, she met Sachiko Shirakawa (an elderly woman with stomach cancer). Sachiko taught her a lot about spirits. At the hospital, she also encountered "Shinigami" (the Grim Reaper), Yoi's first opponent, and successfully defeated him. After Sachiko's death, Yoi began collecting "graduates" (spirits who survived until the end using a form of蛊毒 - Gu poison). There are both evil and good spirits, accumulating combat power. Yoi moved in with her cousin and vowed to bring back her mother's soul.
