Lalashan Achieves Taiwan's First 'International Dark Sky Sanctuary' Certification!
Lalashan in Taoyuan has officially obtained Taiwan's first 'International Dark Sky Sanctuary' certification! Besides the familiar giant tree trails and delicious indigenous village culture, its night sky has now received international recognition. To meet the certification standards, the city government has improved over 400 streetlights in the area, promoted light pollution control, and planned 13 'Northern Cross-Island Highway Dark Sky' deep travel routes. In the future, visitors can hike and enjoy local delicacies during the day, and then stroll through the mountains and forests at night to admire the starry sky, experiencing a brand new charm of night tourism!
