Takeru Satoh Movie Recommendation: Ajin

Adapted from the popular manga of the same name, the protagonist Kei Nagai, played by Takeru Satoh, is hit by a car in a traffic accident but immediately revives. His identity as an Ajin is witnessed by others, leading to him being pursued by the government. Ajin are a new type of human who cannot die even if killed, and their peculiar abilities attract the attention of the government, who want to understand the secrets of their bodies. Nagai is taken to an Ajin research institute for a series of horrific human experiments. At this time, an Ajin named Sato (played by Gō Ayano) appears and rescues him. Although Sato outwardly claims to be fighting for the rights of Ajin, he is actually plotting to kill a large number of humans. For this reason, Nagai resolves to confront Sato, so that he and other Ajin can live peaceful lives. The battles between immortal beings offer a novelty beyond typical action movies, and the scenes where the two protagonists die and are reborn only to fight again immerse the viewer in a strange and thrilling cinematic world.
