Salary Satisfaction
Today in management class, I learned something interesting. When your salary is high, you won't be dissatisfied, but you also won't be fully satisfied. This is because many workers are essentially working for the boss, leading to situations where the value of their labor exceeds their salary (the boss primarily bears the risk and pressure). Therefore, even a high salary isn't truly 'your' money; most of it is taken by the boss or distributed to shareholders, leaving you with not much. So, the conclusion is: when your salary is high, you're not dissatisfied, but not satisfied either. When your salary is low, you're definitely dissatisfied. This is why companies often offer various benefits; these benefits make employees feel satisfied with the company.

This management class was really insightful. It's true that salary is often just a part of value. Once material needs are met, additional benefits can indeed serve as psychological compensation, which is quite an interesting psychological mechanism in economics. Speaking of which, did you learn any new perspectives on labor-management balance in the course?
