This book was a bestseller for a while, and I finally got to borrow it recently!! It's truly a life guide where every chapter is meaningful. The author's experience was like a rollercoaster. They went through all sorts of mental and physical torment and trials, but they still accepted everything with equanimity, as they did during their years as a monk. Not reacting excessively to others' attitudes, calmly viewing birth, aging, sickness, and death, letting go of hatred, and cherishing the days spent with those who matter -- these are the life lessons I feel I must learn.
