Masaki Suda Drama Recommendation: The Great Pretender

The drama 'The Great Pretender' also stars Masaki Suda and Kasumi Arimura as the main leads, joined by Ryunosuke Kamiki, Taiga Nakano, and other actors of the same generation, portraying young people struggling between their dreams and reality. Masaki Suda, Ryunosuke Kamiki, and Taiga Nakano play members of the comedy skit trio 'Macbeth'. After graduating from high school, the three embarked on the path of comedians, but after 10 years of effort, they remained moderately successful and decided to disband. Meanwhile, Riho Naka (played by Kasumi Arimura) fell into despair due to setbacks in her career and love life. With the help of her sister, she began working again at a family restaurant. There, she met the members of 'Macbeth' who always came to discuss their routines. Unconsciously, she became a fan who wanted to support them and grew closer to the 'Macbeth' members through various incidents. Starting with the comedy performance announcing their disbandment, these young people on the cusp of turning thirty begin to search for their own paths. At the beginning of each episode, 'Macbeth' performs a comedy skit, and the subsequent plot ties up loose ends, making you laugh and cry.
