Does this count as 'spoiling'?

So, letting someone decide when to sleep and when to wake up is 'spoiling' a child? I don't get it. It's true that staying up late and waking up late isn't good, but isn't that my freedom? I never expected to hear this. Apparently, this is 'spoiling' them too much. Wow! I thought 'spoiling' a child meant satisfying them both materially and emotionally. Anyway, I don't feel spoiled at all, and honestly, it feels quite pathetic. If this is 'spoiling,' I can't imagine how they lived before. Just letting someone decide when to sleep and wake up is considered 'spoiling' – I must say, it's quite surprising.
