This long-standing establishment, which has been operating here for ten years, has recently moved. It's now located near the first stall in the first row of the Nanping Road section. The stall opens at 5 PM, making it a great option for a snack to satisfy your hunger while shopping or for dinner. It's currently run by the owner and her son, who work in tandem. Because they insist on high-temperature frying the pork knuckle first to lock in the juices, and then grilling it over charcoal to make the skin crispy and render excess fat, the preparation is quite time-consuming. We recommend a little patience while waiting to savor this freshly grilled delicacy! The key to the deliciousness of the pork knuckle here lies in the fry-then-grill process, which results in a golden, slightly crispy, and chewy exterior. The meat is firm yet tender, offering a very springy texture when chewed. For flavors, they offer four options: Original Salt & Pepper, Honey Mustard, Lemon Tartar, and Thai Sweet Chili. We chose the most popular Honey Mustard this time. Its sweet and sour taste is very smooth, and when paired with the crisp raw onions included in the box, the slightly pungent aroma makes the entire pork knuckle more refreshing and less greasy, creating a rich overall layered flavor.
