The Hedgehog Guarding the Tree Hollow

Beneath an old oak tree deep in the forest lived a little hedgehog named 'Pipi'. The small animals of the forest were afraid to get close because of Pipi's quills, but only an injured dove named 'Gugu' fell near its tree hollow. Pipi didn't chase Gugu away. Instead, it carefully used its soft belly to shield Gugu from the wind and collected berries for it every day. Under Pipi's warm care, Gugu's wings gradually healed. As spring turned to autumn, Gugu was finally able to spread its wings and fly high. Friends advised Gugu to leave the dark tree hollow and go to the vast sky. But Gugu shook its head and chose to stay. When winter returned and a blizzard swept through the entire forest, the old oak's tree hollow was buried under thick snow. To protect the cold Pipi, Gugu wrapped its wings tightly around the hedgehog's chilly body, using its own warmth to ward off the harsh cold. In the spring of the following year, the snow melted. Gugu quietly closed its eyes and peacefully lay beside Pipi. Pipi then gently buried Gugu beneath the old oak tree, cherishing this interspecies friendship for a lifetime.
