For this game, it's recommended to start with a Super Legendary + Legendary character. You can also power them up to level 80 after reaching A-. By consistently playing challenge battles and completing beginner missions, you can farm enough to get one Super Legendary character to level 80. Once you pull 'one' Super Legendary character from your initial reroll, don't waste your gems carelessly. Additionally, a few more things: this game isn't just about money as some say. While money is powerful, you'll find that once characters reach level 80 (Super Legendary), they can definitely stand their ground against level 100 characters. Even when facing strong opponents, don't immediately assume you've lost. If you encounter Kizaru, just be careful of his first skill when you're stealing the flag; you can dodge it with proper timing. Also, don't randomly press the counter for Blackbeard or Bonney; their recovery animation is long and can easily get you caught by skilled players. However, if Blackbeard successfully switches to a white attribute, he's easy to beat. It gets tougher around A-, but you can still climb. S- rank is truly hell, with strong opponents every match, facing Marco, Zoro/Sanji, Kizaru, Big Mom, etc. However, there's a character counter system. For example, Zoro/Sanji are good against Marco, and Blackbeard fears Marco. Marco basically doesn't fear anyone. I reached SS with a new F2P account in about 2 weeks, with a very low drop rate, so take this for what it's worth.
