Typhoon Ba-ri
This morning (19th), the eyewall replacement was completed, the eye gradually cleared up and became larger than before. The circulation around the eyewall has become more symmetrical, and there's a possibility of further intensification. According to the Central Weather Administration's forecast, the peak intensity could still reach 60 m/s, with a storm radius extending up to 300 kilometers. Regarding the track, as mentioned in the previous post, the paths of all AI models (dashed lines) have shifted northward and eastward over the past 18 hours. This includes Google Deepmind's latest AI-WNV3, which we've been tracking for several days. The paths generally lie in the sea area north of Yilan to west of Miyako Island. Traditional physical models (solid lines) have also shown a slight northward adjustment, with no more paths through the Bashi Channel. Most models indicate the highest probability of passing near the coast north of Taitung to the northern region. Overall, we're seeing a situation where AI models are trending eastward and northward, while traditional models are trending westward and southward. There are still about 4 days until the typhoon approaches, and the changes over these next few days are crucial. Let's continue to monitor the latest developments of Ba-ri, hoping to minimize damage and deliver accurate, timely information to everyone~
