Child from a Single-Parent Family

Children from single-parent families are so understanding it breaks your heart. I am a single mother. I have two children. When they were six and seven years old, I let them sleep at home alone while I worked the night shift to earn money. They were very considerate and well-behaved, never crying or fussing. We had serious financial problems, and absolutely no money for after-school care or tutoring. My son became a top student through self-study. He was first in his class throughout middle and high school. He got into the Electrical Engineering department at National Taiwan University and received the Presidential Award from Tsai Ing-wen. He also received the Mayor's Award from Eric Chu. Today, I accidentally heard the neighbor's child. There was a father, mother, and a six-year-old child. That child was crying and fussing for some reason. Thinking of my children, it seems they never had the space to cry or fuss. My tears silently fell. They are truly so understanding it breaks your heart.
