Taiwan's Ranking is Amazing, Surpassing Japan and South Korea! Global Smartest Student Country Ranking, US Only Ranks 16th

Which countries have the most outstanding students globally? According to the PISA 2025 test results released by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), a ranking of global student academic performance has been compiled. East Asian education systems have shown remarkable performance, with the top 6 spots entirely taken by East Asian countries. Notably, the four regions of China that participated in the test ranked first with an average score of 578.7, followed by Singapore in second place with 552.7, and Taiwan in third place with 531.3, surpassing Japan and South Korea to become one of the world's leading education systems for student academic performance. This ranking is based on the PISA 2025 test results published by the OECD in September 2026, evaluating 91 participating education systems worldwide. The assessment targeted 15-year-old students and covered subjects including mathematics, science, and reading. Foreign media outlet 'Visual Capitalist' calculated an average score by giving equal weight to the results from the three subjects, and created an overall ranking based on this.
