It's exhilarating to save up and upgrade all at once.

While the basic gameplay for Cat Gunner involves repeating upgrades and idle progression, 'Hunting' is one of the few elements that allows for manual control. You personally operate to defeat slimes. The orange gems you obtain can currently only be used for pets, but personally, I find it the most fun content, so I recommend it when your weapon is strong enough. The key to hunting is to keep moving at all times. Since the edges of the screen are cut off, if you stay in one spot, slimes will swarm you from unseen areas. I repeatedly move back and forth frequently, shooting for a few seconds in place. If you still can't defeat all the enemies, reconsider your weapon before changing your tactics. It's easier to understand if you think of it as: unable to handle the current situation = your weapon isn't strong enough. This might apply not just to hunting, but to Cat Gunner in general.

At first, my heart ached at the thought of cutting down trees!? But it's a game unlike any other, and since enemies don't attack, I can leisurely level up and enjoy it.
