Thoughts from playing since the start of the season
The barrier to entry is super low, and even though it's a free-to-play game, you can get strong without spending money! However, luck is inevitably involved. But if you build a setup that minimizes luck as much as possible, I think it can be resolved to some extent.

First Time
I'd never played Pokemon battles online before, but it felt like starting other gacha games, so the barrier to entry felt low and it was great lol

Charizard Y is the strongest
A strong Pokémon since this game's release. Steel types have increased recently, but it's still top-tier in the meta.

Side Change
Side Change is the best! It's a bit tricky to use after the second time because it fails similarly to defending, but it's great that you can effectively attack while defending. It really is the strongest move in terms of catching opponents off guard.

Mega Garchomp Z
Could Mega Garchomp Z be strong against Garchomp, Lucario Z, and Golisopod? Maybe I should try it.

What ground types do you use with Salamence?
For the ground-type slot after Salamence, I'm thinking Hippowdon, Landorus, or Garchomp, but what does everyone else use? Some people call it Hippo-Mence-Garde, but I have a bit of a weakness against Hippo, so I'd prefer to use something else if possible.

Finally able to play Pokémon
I was too busy with overtime to play, but I'm battling since yesterday!! For now, I'll just use Garchomp, Scizor, and Toxapex to learn about the new Mega Z
